Students from Bentley Park College are making sure Every day counts at school – and they’re having heaps of fun at the same time.
Since 2014, Bentley Park has introduced a range of school attendance initiatives to celebrate improved school attendance rates.
Each term Attendance Celebrations are held. Students can bust a move at the school disco, bounce around in jumping castles, or don their jammies at a special pyjama party.
Improved school attendance is regularly acknowledged for both individual students and class achievements. Students’ efforts are recognised via certificates, badges, and presentations on school parade, while a prized gold trophy is awarded to the overall highest class from each year level.
And it doesn’t stop there. Every term students who have an awesome attendance record go in the draw to win one of two bikes.
Bentley Park has even created a special Attendance Club for students with high and/or improved attendance rates. Members get to participate in plenty of fun activities – from building with Lego, engaging in arts and craft, playing sport, reading, or working on school iPads.
